Over the last six years, Centennial High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter has built a partnership with the Greater Oregon March of Dimes Chapter. As a result, Centennial chapter members have raised thousands of dollars for March of Dimes, educated the community in regards to premature birth and infant mortality, and have become youth representatives for the Greater Oregon Chapter.
Centennial FBLA chapter members were asked to develop a communication plan for the Oregon Teen Youth Program. Chapter members decided that social networking would be the best way of communicating and reaching out to today’s youth. They created a Facebook page that includes weekly discussion points, pictures and videos from fundraising activities.
